Even Hillary Clinton can catch jungle fever

“So you decide which makes more sense:  Entrust our country to someone who is ready on day one…or to put America in the hands of someone with little national or international experience, who started running for president the day he arrived in the U.S. Senate. A president who wakes up every morning ready to fight for our families…and the causes we believe in.  It’s what I’ve been doing for 35 years.”  Senator Hillary Clinton stated in the Boston Globe in December of 2007.  “Look, I have said Senator McCain will bring a lifetime of experience to the campaign, I will bring a lifetime of experience, and Senator Obama will bring a speech he made in 2002.” quoted Senator Clinton to the press after a meeting she held with retired military officers in Washington.         My, how the times are a changing!  When Obama was only an afterthought to the lead Senator Hillary Clinton held onto in the race for democratic presidential nomination, Clinton threw a barrage of clever quotes and well scripted commercials at her opponent.  When the world famous “It’s 3 a.m…who do you want to answer the phone” commercial didn’t pull enough votes and delegates her way, Clinton shrewdly employed the teary eyes and graciously took the primary in New Hampshire.  That primary took place in January, and five months later, Senator Clinton is singing a new song.  You’d be hard pressed to hear any more questions from the Clinton camp about Obama’s religious, racial, or social upbringing.  I’ve also been reading various blogs and articles that the Clinton camp has reported that she will be ending her bid for presidency at a Washington, D.C. event on Friday while CNN is reporting that her swan song will take place on Saturday.          Now unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve also heard, read and probably smelled the rumors that Clinton WOULD consider being Obama’s right hand…woman.  Really?!  I envision this proposal much like the woman or man that wouldn’t give you the time of day, but suddenly falls in “love” with you after you win the lottery.  The “lottery” here is the democratic nomination, but I for one just can’t see anything good coming from an Obama-Clinton ticket.  My first, last, and only truly necessary reason for seeing something wrong with Clinton being vice-president is that she, much like other politicians, can’t be trusted.  How many of you remember just how much “sniper fire” Senator Clinton courageously dodged during a trip she made to Bosnia?  If you don’t remember, check youtube under Hillary Clinton lies about her Bosnia trip.  Speaking of lies, google Hillary Clinton lies.  My, my, my…she has dropped some whoppers.  Plus, considering her apparent bloodlust for power, how long would Obama be in office before she started looking at him like fresh meat?

The way I see it is that Clinton’s ego has finally caught up with the nation’s reality and since she sees that she can’t be top dog, she’s scrambling to settle for second fiddle.
